Hey so I got a fix it ticket for my registration. The day came I got pulled over and my registration from Texas has been expired 4 years. The officer gave me a fix it ticket and in the meantime, I got my catalytic converter stolen. So I got my cat replaced with a beater one, but the little fuel efficiency check light never went away. So im pretty sure I can’t pass smog (I’ve heard that light being on is an instant fail). I’m wondering if I can just pay the ticket and then never drive my car again until I get it all sorted out. Or if I should be getting a new catalytic converter asap so I can do all the registration and so on and so forth, or if I should just sell my car or junk it entirely? It’s a 2018 Corolla so it has kind of a high blue book value all things considered :/
Anything helps
