I live on a quiet street of apartment units near WLAC. There is a young kid that lives across the street, maybe 10-12 that practices his piano every single day with the window open and has for over a year and a half plus now for legit 4 hours a day on and off. He is fun to listen to, he never plays too loudly or too late in the night and we have heard him get SO much better, that now he truly sounds so enjoyable to listen to as he plays all the classic and modern hits from Christmas jingles to Mozart and Beethoven to Glass Animals Heatwaves and more modern pop songs. He still stumbles a bit on occasion but is becoming a really fluid player and you can tell is technically proficient. My cat loves sitting on the open windowsill and listening to him play.
My roommate and I want to be super respectful. We've never met him or his parents before and dont want to make anything weird. I know my other neighbors enjoy listening to him play too as it brings a pleasant vibe to our street. When the holidays roll around we were wondering what a nice gift would be to put on their doorstep, with a note saying something like 'thanks for all the music, we love listening to you play', signed: your neighbors.
Does this sound okay what would be a good gift here?
