Post Body

Hi all,

I have a neighbor that likes to play music very loudly with her door open (just security gate is closed.) Our front doors face each other.

I’ve tried talking to her but she gets very angry and refuses to turn it down or close the door. Building manager claims she has a right to enjoy her music during daytime hours even though it’s disturbing me. But was told to measure the decibel levels when she is playing music.

I believe the decibel maximum in my zone is 50 during the day and 45 at night but I’m not entirely sure since I found that info on a law firm’s website. Where can I find that information? I’m thinking I’m not searching correctly. Also, any advice on if LAPD can assist with this?

Thanks in advance.
