been to L.A. a couple of times, but they have been very brief trips and I didn’t have a say on where we stayed. Could anyone recommend areas or specific hotels? Looking to keep it under $200ish/night. I love historical areas, artsy areas, and I’m a big foodie. I love being in walkable areas. I don’t plan to spend any time on the beach as I am staying at Redondo beach for the latter portion of the vacation. The hotel does not need to be super close to redondo beach, in fact I would like to explore somewhere quite different. Since that will be the more scenic portion of the trip, I’m looking for city accommodations. Any and all tips are greatly appreciated! As a said, walkability is important and I value the ability to get out and explore on foot as much as possible. I’m a bit nervous of skid row so a safe-ish area is a priority, although I’m not naive and don’t worry about too much about getting myself into trouble. We will be there at the beginning of February, if that makes a difference. Thank you! Also, we are vegetarians (it’s ok to roll your eyes), but if anyone has vegetarian-friendly (does not need to be fully vegetarian or vegan) restaurant recommendations, I’d love to hear them! I also would love some cool bar recommendations and I love museums. Thanks again.
