Grocery shopping in London?

Post Body

My boyfriend (we’re from the US) is studying abroad in London, and he just went grocery shopping for the first time today and ended up really frustrated.

The main problem he said is that all the stores he went to were very small and didn’t have everything he needed, so he needed to travel to multiple different stores.

I looked up some stuff and told him to try and find a Sainsbury’s, and he said he did but even that was still very small and he ended up needing to go to other places as well.

Is there somewhere that is like your guy’s main supermarket that you’d be able to get all your groceries in one go? Or is that just kind of how it is there?
