Leisure Centre that is not a Stress Centre in London?

Hi London,
I'm looking for a swimming pool reasonably close to Brixton or Westminster where I can walk in without having to book a week in advance, and where the facilities are clean and calm.
I'm recovering from an injury and would usually go for wild swimming to avoid neon lights, dance music and busy lanes with ultra sporty people swimming up your arse/ noisy kids. That's not an option at the moment, so I'm looking for somewhere not in nature but more relaxed, where I can go at my pace while I recover.
I've tried Brixton Rec and Streatham Ice but I've found the booking system unfeasible with my current work routine and generally quite overwhelming and a bit dirty.
I'm considering becoming a member of a gym if that's what it takes. Or maybe a spa? I'm quite new to London and I'm used to just being able to walk in to a nearly empty pool in my hometown, so don't really know where to start or if the kind of place I'm looking for even exists here.
I'm not rich so the cheaper the better, but I'd consider paying up to £150 a month for the right place, if it's somewhere I'd enjoy spending a lot of time.
I'm a swimming/ yoga person but I can make use of a leg press or stationary bike for my physio. Please send me your recommendations!
