(US to UK) Operating Theatre RN Jobs?
Post Body

Hi all! I apologize if this question has been asked before.

I am an American registered nurse currently in an administrative position running Trauma Surgery after years of working on the floor, making my way to the operating room, and working up. I am currently 30 years old.

I am debating whether or not it would be feasible, financially appropriate, and honestly- mentally worth it to move to the UK (London or London surrounding areas) and work as a nurse.

After doing some research, I am a bit hesitant to make the move as the pay compensation is quite different. In addition, my role in the operating room is quite specialized, and I am not sure if there is even a role analogous to it (I work closely with surgeons and facilitate when patients that come to the emergency room need to get an operation emergently).

I appreciate any and all advice, definitely encourage some hard truths and if it is something I should even consider.

I was told working in the private sector would bring more compensation, but that those jobs will only be available after working for the NHS for 2 years minimum.

Anything would really help! Thank you all so much!
