I want to give my wife a fun "olde English" type food experience when she comes here.
What I mean specifically is not just an old pub or building with modern food, but old-fashioned like medieval type food/fare that has been served at that spot in the same way for many generations.
Mead, travellers foods and so on.
Bonus points if it is an "experience". Also, it does not have to be in just London but can be a short distance away as long as it's easily reachable and within an hour of central.
Would appreciate any recommendations!
