Joyce's Ulysses is widely considered The Modernist Novel. In your opinion what would The Definitive Novel(s) be for other literary movements e.g. beat generation, postmodernism, naturalism, etc?
Post Body

For one thing I for sure think that On the Road by Kerouac is The Beat Novel and I feel like others would agree. And for postmodernism possibly Gravity's Rainbow? But I'm not as sure about that, there have of course been a lot of considerable postmodern novels. Looking forward to others opinions.
