I need some advice, can't sleep cause I'm worried.

Bought a car financed though a local dealer. No missed payments, completely current.

Last week, I try to make a payment, I was told my account was sold to a finance company.

I was given no notice of this. They claimed nothing will change, no payment increases.

They take the last payment, promise to send it to finance company.

A day later I get the letter from the company welcoming me (dated June 9).

I go to the website today to create my account, only to see I owe $700 dollars !!

My next payment isn't even due !!

Plus they charge $6 no matter what to process the payment. How is this legal ?

Do I have to pay this money ?

Stressed like a mofo.
