If you have written documentation of an agreement to get an abortion and they fail to do so, Would you have to pay child support?

I have a buddy who had a girl lie to him saying she was on birth control and she got pregnant. Basically they were talking and had a mutual agreement to have her get an abortion because she wasn’t working and he couldn’t support them both. He has he written documentation that she will abort it since it’s only been 2 weeks since finding out she was pregnant. If she doesn’t end up doing it (assumptions that she won’t since she blocked him on everything and he’s tried to contact her numerous times) Is he still liable since she said she would abort it? Sorry this is my first ever Reddit post… hope it’s not sloppy.
