I’m planning on writing educational emails for pride month, for my workplace. What should I talk about?
My manager asked me for suggestions for pride month, and after suggesting sending out educational emails for the month, has asked me if I want to prepare some emails for her to look over.
I’m in the UK, obviously already planning on talking about Stonewall.
Thinking about perhaps a company-wide “What pride means to me” sorta thing, to show what people have been through and how important it is to them.
Also going to say about how queer rights have been in the process of being removed in the UK (conversion therapy being legal for trans people as a big one).
Thing is, most of my knowledge is honestly trans knowledge.
I’d like some information on topics I could talk about, and also educational or inspirational people. I’d also like to highlight POC/BAME important people, largely because I don’t want it just to be celebrating what white people have done and making queerness seem white-focused.
