Does the Q stand for questioning, and if so, why? From what I can understand (and please, let me know if I’m wrong,) questioning just means wondering if you fit under one of the categories. If that’s the full definition, (which again, correct me if it’s not), I don’t understand why what seems like a natural and healthy process for everyone to go through during their pre-teens or as they grow up would be grouped together with a series of marginalized communities.

Let me know if this question is stupid, I just spoke with a friend who said the Q is for questioning, and I wanna understand if that’s true and if so why, and if I’m misreading the situation at all.
