I’m relatively new to Ireland and one thing that strikes me about this country is how hard it is to find a GP here. This country has many good things, but I’m shocked by this GP problem.
What is the norm here when it comes to GPs? - Most of the options I’m seeing online are around €130 per consultation, which is quite expensive. Can this be claimed back from tax relief? - Most of them have waiting list up to several weeks long. This is really surprising for me. Whatever problem made you seek a GP will either heal on its own or become an emergency in the time it takes for you to see one.
Any suggestions for access to primary healthcare here? It seems like it’s not very accessible for the average person. I hope I’m wrong about this.
