Interacting and starting conversation has been challenging lately, especially while going through bereavement. I find myself craving companionship, but the thought of attending Eventbrite or meetup events to meet strangers whom I have nothing in common with and more than likely won't see again has been quite challenging. It's kinda coming to the point now that I don't look forward to long weekends like this one or booking time off as I'm getting tired of feeling lonely with not much to look forward to.
While I understand I may not be in the optimal state of mind to be social right now since things that were once enjoyable are no longer. I was wondering, is there any fun avenues for introverts to meet folk in a low-key / pressure-free zone? I've tried to fill the void with dancing, dating apps (I know they're terrible), and various Eventbrite events but have yet to reap much benefit from them.
