I think karma point system is very bad on reddit. What do you guys think?

Post Body

I am new user, I didn't know how this karma thing works, so I saw a post where a lady posted that she got pregnant with his friend and due to that she had to marry him and now after 16 or 18 years his husband told that he intentionally made a hole in condom so that he could pregnant her. So she said she feels like her marriage is based on lie and she lost her trust in him and she is devastated now. So I commented that you can leave and take divorce if it's so but it you have children and your husband really keeps you happy, takes care of you and love you well, then don't take divorce as the maximum suffering will be not for you or your husband. Divorce will badly effect the child and they will have to go through suffering and trauma So I meant that if he has kept you happy for 16 years and didn't hurt and always loved you, then adjust yourself for the sake of your children and go take some therapy to help you out with this without divorce And people downvoted me rapidly and now I have got -15 negative karma So basically reddit is a place where you can't keep your point if doens't match with other and or it's against the thought of other people
