I got an arranged marriage with a lady from India a couple of years ago. Prior to marriage she wasn’t very communicative and our conversations were quite dry. Somehow or someway I ended up getting married to her. You can read my previous post to find out what happened if you are curious.

She works as a doctor and has a very busy schedule. That was her excuse to not call me often. I live overseas and so after getting married in India, I went back to my country and was waiting for my wife to join me. She kept delaying coming to my country - kept saying she needs to stay for a few more months in order to complete a certain number of years are the hospital and get her experience certificate etc. Would barely talk to each other for 1 min everyday.

She finally comes to my country and the marriage was a disaster. I kept getting the feeling she was trying to sabotage the relationship. For example - she wouldn’t eat anything I cooked - no rice, chicken, cheese, leaves, some fruits, fish, meat, eggs etc. And then would complain to her parents that I don’t buy anything for her to eat and leave her hungry - despite her saying she didn’t want anything when I went to the supermarket.

Things were horrible in the relationship. We did not consummate the marriage as she wouldn’t let me get intimate with her. We decided to split and she went back to India. She told me she won’t go back to her previous job as she’d be too embarrassed to face her colleagues.

I just found out she recently rejoined as a doctor at her previous hospital. It made me suspect she has a boyfriend at the hospital? Maybe I’ve been on reddit for too long but I read often that doctors are more likely to have affairs at their workplace.

I find this whole situation unfair. Since marriage she hasn’t spent a single rupee on me. I did my best to take care of her. And my parents and I lost so much money and on top of that she’s claiming I was abusive when people ask why we broke up.
