Did the Mazdakites view women as property?
Post Body
The sources that we have on Mazdakism claim that "women and wealth are to be held in common", and many have interpreted this as them viewing women as property. Is this necessarily true? I have also read in the Dabestan that Mazdak wanted to "emancipate the female sex". Would you interpret this literally?
