I mean I get that being a Nazi or being a guard or executioner at a concentration camp pretty much by default makes you evil, but even if you have the warped idealogy that this is a necessary action for the greater good of humanity, I find it baffling just at how many of these guys seemed to be straight up psychopaths of the highest level. The type of people I am talking about are Kurt Franz, Klaus Barbie, Amon Goth, Otto Moll, and Oskar Dirlewanger just to name a few out of dozens. Even other brutal regimes like the Soviet Union and khmer rouge didn't attract as brutal types as the Nazi party did.
