Hello everyone, I recently purchased a small antique on eBay because I found it very interesting and couldn't find anything about it online. After further research on Google scholar, I am still stumped. This is a small (about 4") metal (silver in color) decorative hatchet that has the words "Florence's Hatchet" inscribed on the side. I know of course about Carrie Nation and believe this to be a play on her hatchet pins. One thing I find interesting is Florence's Hatchet appeared to be a pendant as it has a small hole at the end of it for a chain. My only lead is that is could be related to Florence Kelley as she was a very prominent labor rights activist around the same period as Carrie Nation. I don't believe this is a random local trinket as I've seen multiple listings across the internet. If anyone has any information I would be greatly appreciative. I will leave a picture in the comments.
