Let's Talk about "Into the Depths", a NatGeo podcast, on Reddit Talk today!
Post Body

Join our Reddit Talk with some of the "Into the Depths" crew! We go live at 1:30 ET (5:30 GMT).

In "Into the Depths," Tara Roberts went into the depths of waters on both sides of the Atlantic. Traveling from Florida, to Costa Rica, to Benin, and to North Carolina, Roberts explored the Black divers who seek out and document the remnants of the thousands of slave ships which wrecked across the Atlantic as part of the transatlantic slave trade.

While exploring these artifacts of the the transatlantic slave trade, Roberts also goes into the depths of her own past as she engages with her own past. Addressing issues such as representation in academia, recovering unheard and unconsidered stories, and the value of communal knowledge, Roberts explores how we can all move forward in understanding ourselves and studying the past.

In addition to coming to this Reddit Talk, you should check out the 6 part podcast, Into the Depths.
