Post Body

I have two different questions about the German Empire.

1) what was Germany's economy like? What was their main import and export? I understand that they had a big industrial boom but I want to understand how the German empire made the majority of its money.

2) If the middle class of German from 1871 to 1914 had to be described how would someone living in the 21st century put it? What was the culture among the population like? What dominated politics at the time for the average German. Was political culture different depending on what former German country you lived in? Did most Bavarian's see the political landscape of the late 19th and early 20th century different from a Prussian or Saxon?
