I recently read that the 1918 flu pandemic actually lasted till near the end of 1920. Further, this book about the flu mentioned how many of those attending the peace conference were hit by the flu, including President Wilson. The flu actually caused him to miss several days of the negotiations. All this left me wondering how the flu outbreak and itβs affect on those present at the conference affected the final treaty and whether some of the circumstances that led to WW II might have been avoided had certain people not been ill.
