All of the posts I've found here about the history of privacy are about Europe... does anyone have any similar sources about elsewhere in the world, particularly warmer weather areas?
Post Body

Having read a lot of the comments here explaining the history of privacy (in the context of sexual modesty, individual bedrooms, etc) and they all focus on European history. That's interesting, but the answers there tend to have to do with the fact that without group sleeping, it would be too cold for them at night.

My question- what about in warmer areas? Whether in Mediterranean areas, Africa, Asia, etc- in places where cold nights are less of an issue, is privacy a factor earlier on?

Thank you!
