What is the status of the Bering Strait theory of Native American origins? What are the plausible alternatives?
Post Body

I have always been taught that Native American populations originated from an overland crossing at the Bering Strait, but I've seen some Native American scholars on twitter recently claiming that the theory has been disproven. See, for example, Dr. Adrienne Keene: https://twitter.com/NativeApprops/status/1052993772685012993

Is the popularity of the Bering Strait theory losing steam? What evidence calls the theory into question?

Or was it always psuedoscientific and I had no idea?
