Have there been any notable attempts to restore imperial rule, or at least importance and presence, since the Manchu Restoration attempt of 1917?
Post Body

The modern Chinese state, which was unified in '49, had abandoned dynastic rule for 37 years prior. The fall of the Qing Dynasty and the "abdication" of Pu Yi in the wake of the Xinhai Revolt gave birth to a nationalist government in China which today survives as Taiwan. My question, then, is if any attempts were made to revive dynastic rule in China following 1917, when the Manchurian Restoration was defeated and Pu Yi was forced into total exile (1918, maybe?) Have their been any talks, societies, plans or parties who sought or seek to restore the imperial family to at least nominal importance (sort of like the Queen of England today) or in any capacity for that matter? ((Kind of a repost, deleted the old one since it was posted at a weird time so hoping this one gets a response))
