Would a proto-Feminist such as Caris in *World Without End* have been possible?
Post Body

Sometimes books like the above, which read present ideals into the past, make me wonder what life really would have been like for someone as revolutionary as Caris.

You could answer this as:

What life was like for an independently minded woman in the 1340s (or so)?

OR

Would stringent proto-feminism such as that in World Without End have strained society to the breaking point? Would she have been revered or killed? Is there any possibility of people accepting her and her mentality?
