When looking at the Russian Civil War, until ~mid 1919, the Allied powers were gaining against the Bolsheviks, but when 1920 rolls around the Bolsheviks steamroll the remaining White army and win the war.
What caused the Whites to lose the war, and what, if anything could they have done to prevent it? Where there any major mistakes, or missed chances?
Or were the Whites just doomed from the start, with the lackluster support from other nations and the squabbling and infighting in the faction
