How much troops could a 16th century state muster in times of war?
Post Body

Like, say they were to throw as much troops (trained troops, not armed peasants) into the war, how much would they muster?

Of course it would vary a lot, but estimates for France, Muscovy, Austria, Brandenburg and England should give a general idea

EDIT:
Also with the advent of gunpowder, what troop consistency did the armies usually have and what kind of tactics were commonly employed?
