Were there any (british WW2) airplanes mounting PIATs (or other mortars)?
Post Body
For countless reasons, mortars generally suck for aircraft, but I have seen "online" a mention of PIATs being experimentally used on British aircraft - except that poster provided no information on which one or what's the source.
Anyone ever encountered a mention of that? Either for PIAT or any other mortar being used on an airplane of any country?
[edit] The answer is: PIAT was never mounted on aircraft. And there were no mortars mounted on the aircraft during the World War Two.
