This is directly influenced by current events if it's not obvious, but there seems to be some evidence of Reagan stopping F16 deliveries to Israel in 1981 in response to them bombing Beirut, followed by an outright demand to implement a ceasefire in August 1982 when Israeli forces directly invaded southern Lebanon.
Trying to find more reliable information on what happened has been sparse, with Lawrence Korb, the Assistant Secretary of Defense from 1981-1984, mentioning this relatively recently.
Was this actually the case? What was Israel's reaction to Reagan's pressure? Was Reagan's reaction and pressure effective in a ceasefire being implemented?
Edit: Has there been other cases where a US president/its administration has threatened to stop military aid to Israel in response to Israeli military action apart from Eisenhower with the 1957 Suez Crisis? (The 20 year rule not withstanding of course)
Edit 2: I added more context about Lawrence Korb, since he worked under Reagan during that time.
