I came across this comment where someone claims when the Japanese heard that the Nazis hated the Jews for their supposed meddling in world affairs, the Japanese were impressed and decided they had something to learn from the Jews. They link to this source to substantiate their claim in a later comment.
What was the Japanese perception of the Jews during World War II? I've heard of Chiune Sugihara and I know there was a small population of Jews in Japan prior to and during World War II. Did the Japanese really try to "harness" the supposed power of the Jewish community in some way?
