How well attested is Galla Placidia's villainy?
Post Body

Galla Placidia is said to have conspired to have her cousin executed for treason, and to have been a bit incestuous with her brother. However, she's also associated with the fall of Rome and was a woman with political power, two sorts of things that (in my experience from studying queens) can often lead to posthumous vilifcation. How much evidence is there that she was really involved with Serena's fall, and how do historians of the period evaluate her as a historical figure?
