I’m a professor of history at George Mason University in Virginia. I am a historian of the Appalachian Trail and I recently published Virginia’s Lost Appalachian Trail, a book that tells a part of the history of the Trail that almost no one remembers. I am also the host of the Green Tunnel Podcast, a podcast on the history of the Appalachian Trail produced by R2 Studios at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media.
