Looking for a little feedback here so any responses would be WONDERFUL!
My wife works high-level sales role (Director) at a tech company, it’s a high demand job and she’s putting in about 60 hours a week on average since starting in mid-March of 2021.
She was recruited by the CEO of the company for the role from another tech company where she had an excellent reputation. The CEO said they wanted someone like her to take time to grow into this Director’s role.
Within a month of starting this job, her supervisor (VP of sales) was let go and a temp supervisor came in.
About a month after that; she got placed on a PIP with no warning. The pip has no written consequences of what what happens if she does not meet these goals.
The PIP isn’t focused on her sales results but more so her communication to her her direct supervisors.
She can’t get clarity on what happens when her PIP expires mid-August, but the company still wants her to book international flights for business in August as well.
What is going on here? Any thoughts?
We are confused and somewhat shocked.
