[TX] exempt salaried employee being asked to work at a sister company to make up PTO?

Post Body

I work for a small organization in Texas. Due to bad PTO accounting (no one was tracking PTO), I went from having 50hrs of time off to negative 40 of time. CEO asked me if I want to just work at the sister company to make up my time and she will β€œzero out" my time owed. Is this even legal?
