my manager has a paper to fill out for performance reviews and typically does it in front of us. yesterday, she gave me my review (which was good) but didn’t fill out the form until afterwards and didn’t get a copy of it until today. on the form it, it stated that I have not been trained in a particular area of work and that I left out paperwork that violates HIPAA.
Now, I understand that what I did was wrong. it bothers me that she could not tell me that during our meeting together however, I am livid at the fact that she failed to tell me in person, and during the meeting I held myself accountable to other things that I did wrong and she never acknowledged it nor did she put it on the paper
The area that I have not been trained in is something that she was supposed to do for me months ago and it is biting me in the butt now because like I said SHE has not trained me or given me access to such things.
The left out paperwork was brought up on my second performance review and and I fixed my mistakes and hadn’t done something like that since and I’m confused as to why it’s been brought up again on my third review.
I just finished my 90 day probationary. And fear my manager cannot communicate with me important matters that are detrimental to my job. i’m not sure how to bring this up to my manager or higher-ups. I enjoy this job very much, and the other people that I work with, however, and fearful that her lack of communication could be the endgame of my position.
another disclaimer I understand what I did wrong and I understand that it is my responsibility to fix my wrongdoings, but I don’t understand why this cannot be communicated to me in person and I also don’t understand if there were any negative reviews why put that on there without making me aware of it? to me, it’s very unsettling and unprofessional. However, I do want to ask thee professionals and see what you guys have to say?
