Post Body

For some background information… Im high functioning autistic with ADHA. In the past I had a hard time working and keeping jobs. I thought I’d never be able to keep a job long term but amazingly I’ve worked for the same company for 8 years now.

Without giving too much detail I work with numbers. It’s very important that I keep the same routine everyday and it’s been very easy for me to maintain with this job. Most people would probably go crazy but I love working with numbers for hours and hours every day.

The problem is that when someone in another department is causing trouble my manager feels it’s easier to move them somewhere else rather then deal with it. Unfortunately for me he is basically force transferring me to another department so that he can move this person into my department who is causing trouble where they are.

I found out last week and I’m having trouble sleeping and concentrating at work. It’s giving me terrible panic attacks. This isn’t something that I can help. It’s also not something a lot of people understand. I’m worried that I’ll end up leaving my job and I really can’t afford that.

Is there anything I can do about this? Is this something I can ask accommodations for? If so, would HR keep my reason for accommodations private?
