Post Body

I am applying for work at an insurance company. The job description asks for 6 months experience in a call center.

I worked in call centres for two companies. It was hard work, I did well at it, and I was eventually promoted at both companies.

The owners of one of the companies were sentenced in a $250M money laundering case a couple of years ago. Apparently the company had been involved in ponzi schemes and this all came out years after I quit. If you google the company though, this is one of the first things that pops up.

The other company was a provider of hardcore adult content.

(I was an English speaker living in Montreal so I had to take whatever work I could get)

The work experience itself does apply to the job I am applying for but I don't think they'll be impressed by the fact I worked for money launderers and erotica peddlers.
