Inserting a ball?

I have been stretching my ass steady for a good while now and would like to try inserting a decent sized foam round (nerf) ball. What precautions should I use? Is there any danger of it getting "stuck"? I see videos of folks doing it and it looks like a common thing and it looks fun! Any insight would be accepted and appreciated.
