So I'm inching towards my 40s and had planned to get back into fitness this year. I used to have an athletic body but the pandemic (among other things) left me in no mood to do the extra work. At this point, I'm starting to get a little chubby, which is rare for me. I'm not as bothered about how I look as I am about how I feel physically.
I restarted some fitness activities this summer (sports, cardio workouts) and was ready to step it up even more, but I have been hit with minor injuries, aches, pains and just the busyness of every day life. I've been advised to avoid exercise for a bit and I'm just depressed about how this is harder than it was in my 20s.
How do you all stay fit? How do you make time, avoid injury, etc.? How much time do you dedicate a week? Any tips on how to juggle life and keep my body in working condition would be great.
