For gay men our age, the usual advice for making friends is finding an activity group, sports league, volunteer org, pride center, etc. What about when none of those are available or convenient?

What has been the experience of those of you who have tried to use apps to find friends? And this is more for monogamous couples, asexual people or guys who have zero interest in a sexual relationship with friends.

I'm curious because the past, when I was still on apps, I would see guys say NO SEX, JUST FRIENDS, but they would have shirtless pics, underwear pics, and eventually loved talking about sex. They'd either end up hitting on me or people I knew.

So how has it been for you? Or what is your opinion? Anyone should feel free to response.
