Sorry about the rant. I just watched a trailer for a gay movie in theaters, Firebird about two soldiers in Cold War Soviet Union who become lovers. They look like models in a way that just feels unbelievable.
Honestly, I avoid most gay tv shows and movies because they are romances or coming of age and Iām not a fan of those genres. But what makes it worse is that they all look so perfect to the point that they arenāt relatable.
Thereās another movie coming out called Fire Island where a group of friends feels like rejects despite one of the main characters being a total stud with abs! I want more shows with protagonists like those in Cucumber.
I guess my question for my over30 āgaybrosā is whether you share this sentiment and if you have any recommendations.
