You know the kind i'm talking about. The ones who constantly post selfies, try being popular, make it their personality, etc.
Usually, I don't care. I'm getting older and I generally don't like the increasing habit of people living their lives for likes, taking videos and pictures of everything but making it about themselves and their online persona.
The reason I'm posting is because there was a twitter gay who recently posted a selfie of himself and his surrogate baby in a hospital bed. He was shirtless and the selfie looked like any other instagay/twitter gay photo.
....I was kind of..disturbed? There were some homophobic comments but mostly people were defending him and so happy for the guy. I guess it just seemed so weird to me and I wonder if I need to do some soul-searching. Personally, I'd want the attention on the baby or I just would keep that private moment for myself. Using it for a shirtless selfie moment feels odd. But I guess I'm a fossil at this point?
