I’m 38, 1.5 year and a half away from 40. But I present pretty young (I’m frequently mistaken for early 30s). But at the end of the day I’m pushing 40. And therefore would prefer someone who is more inclined towards being serious about settling down. Though I am noticed enough by guys my age and I prefer guys my age…I get noticed by guys in their 20s, too. Maybe more than before. For fun, that’s nice. But I hesitate to consider them for anything more serious. Am I being ageist or are younger guys just less likely to be serious about a real commitment? And also…for anyone who has or is dating younger…what are potential compatibility issues due to an age difference?
28 is my hard stop limit for how young I’ll date. Though I think they are exceptions, I do think it’s at least possible to find someone mature enough in their late 20s to date.
As in my ethnicity? Latino (Colombian); very tan.
