I'm 64 and have never played a video game. Maybe I'm curious and would play one with a younger relative if he offered, but I don't feel I'm missing anything, at my age. Or maybe I am, and it would surely enhance my life... nah, probably not.
I used "still" in the title, assuming most males, str8 and gay, age out of video games. Am I totally wrong, and once a game player, always a video game player, even into one's later years?
Do you think str8 males play video games much more than gay males? Same? Do females play video games at all, either alone or with a group of girlfriends? Girlfriends and boyfriends often play video games together?
It seem that some or most older folks consider younger folks playing video games as a negative? "Oh, those young guys hide in their mothers' basements all day and night, just playing video games! Stupid, lazy, uneducated, good for nothing!"
Does video gaming transcend education and intelligence levels? Are dorms at elite colleges filled with such enthusiasts?
Most doctors, nurses, dentists, scientists, investment bankers, teachers, lawyers of a certain age usually play?
Is one considered odd if they don't play, even in their late 30s?
Anybody here here know of guys, straight or gay, in their 50s, 60s and even 70s who play video games, sporadically, regularly, or even as an addiction?
Just wondering, as I live alone and don't have more than a few friends, and they are my age and older, and certainly don't talk about video games, and likely don't play and have no interest.
Sorry about all the questions. Just a curious elder.
