For those once in an open relationship that ended, what were the reasons? People go into open relationships for different reasons and each open relationship is unique to the relationship. Iām aware that an open relationship by nature is rife with risks of many different sorts. Iām curious what were the reasons for anyone that once was in an open relationship for why it ended.
In a long-term relationship myself of 10 years that has largely been wonderful. Weāve opened things up ~5 years ago with different understandings, like āonly play togetherā which then evolved to include some other activities. Lately itās taken a bit of a life of its own in some regards so just looking for the shared experiences of others to reference while I sort through my own feelings.
