I’ve always seen myself as “on-the-fence” of being slightly demisexual. I cannot seem to enjoy a sexual experience without some familiarity with the other person. Subsequently, someone’s character does play a role in my sexual appetite for them since we need to “vibe” for my interest to peak.

This raises the question for me — do other people who can enjoy random hookups feel that personality can sway attraction?

Just to give an example here — If a porn star has revealed themselves to be a sh!tty person, I genuinely can’t enjoy their porn.

Alternatively, my husband is the opposite of me and personality is mostly negligible in a sexual context, and someone can be sexy despite their character flaws.

I guess I just wondered where on the spectrum a lot of the community falls regarding the dichotomy between “looks” and “personality” when it comes to sexual encounters.
