Homophobic statements
Post Body

I was on another redit. It’s discussions about men’s with long hair. (I have long hair) an attractive guy made a post asking about his hair of he should cut it or not. One guy posted “no homo bro but you look amazing” I replied asking about the “no homo” comment and if he realized how homophobic of a comment it was.. it started a lengthy discussion that did not go in my favor with being down voted 27 times. There were a couple that supported what I said but overall I was dumbfounded about the level if ignorance people still have. I had thought we had been moving away from all of this nonsense but it seems to be roaring back. I Guessing because of all the hateful rhetoric from the republicans and evangelicals. I’m lucky I live in a bubble so to speak by living in Southern California. Do you think “no homo” is homophobic or am I overreacting
