Gaming and not quitting...

I do game often... With guys, twice the interest if gay guys, and I noticed that many other races quickly quit when waiting for a revive or if the rest of the team is down, but often there's this couple of guys I know that, hold on until the very end. Is a cultural thing? The not quitting even if the match is doomed?
I have rage quit, and I have gave up with the match seem just like waiting 10 minutes for a result that I already knew, so dunno, curious. (Also if anyone plays fortnite, add me!)
